The nursing faculty and nursing students from the Sacramento State University School of Nursing will provide clearance/camp physicals for Scouts and Scouters in the Golden Empire Council.
This type of clinic has been held in the past to accommodate those attending Boy Scout or Cub Scout summer camps, BSA high adventure camps, and National and World Jamborees.
Within our Crew, we need all Venturers and accompanying adults to complete parts A and B of the BSA Annual Health and Medical Form. However, if you plan on going on high-adventure activities or any activity likely to last longer than 72 hours, we also need part C completed. Part C is the medical clearance portion that can either be completed by your regular physician (and pay for an office visit) or at this event for free.
There is no fee. However, donations are welcome and help support the Sac State School of Nursing.
This event will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 9:00 am to Noon. Preregistration is available on the Golden Empire Council website until it closes at 1:00 pm on March 1. However, walk-ins are welcome.
Each Camp Participant must bring a paper copy of the physical form. Have all parts of the history filled out (Both A & B) and the nursing staff will complete the physical exam sections (Part C and Part D if necessary). Please note that the CSUS School of Nursing does not keep a copy of the exam. Therefore, you should always make a copy for your personal records before giving it to your unit leader.
